This article contains Euphoria season two spoilers.
Whether you watch Euphoria or not, it’s unlikely that you’ve missed those shots of Cassie wearing a pink swimsuit, which have swept social media in the past few days.
We’ve long been obsessed with the beauty looks in Euphoria (give Doniella Davy *all* the awards), but in the latest episode, the styling took centre stage.
Yep, episode four saw Cassie (played by Sydney Sweeney) wear an Elle Woods-worthy pink swimsuit to Maddy’s (played by Alexa Demi) birthday party. After making a dramatic entrance (and err, throwing up in the hot tub), Cassie was carried upstairs in – what can only be described as – a state.
While we were enchanted by Sydney’s portrayal of Cassie’s chaotic vulnerability, we weren’t the only ones frantically googling, “Where can I buy Cassie’s pink swimsuit?” Here it is in action:
After the episode dropped, the ‘Gemma One Piece’ in ‘pink punch’, from Frankies Bikinis sold out instantly. And now, there’s a 500 person waiting list. No biggie.
Frankies Bikinis describe the “go-to one-piece swimsuit” as “a gorgeous piece with high leg cuts, simple triangle neckline, adjustable neck ties, and sexy wrap around details,” noting that it’s made from 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex.
The swimsuit is due to be restocked and is currently taking preorders. You know what to do…
Sydney has recently opened up about how she approaches topless scenes in Euphoria, saying, “There are moments [in the script] where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell [series creator Sam Levinson], ‘I don’t really think that’s necessary here’…. He was like, ‘Okay, we don’t need it.’”
She added, “I’ve never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn’t want to do it, he didn’t make me.”
Sadly, this hasn’t always been the case for Sydney, who explained “I’ve had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting…. I didn’t feel comfortable with my castmate or the crew, and I just didn’t feel like my character would be doing it,” adding that in those situations she “didn’t feel like [she] was able to speak up.”
Sydney has also called out people who only started paying attention to her acting career after her role in The White Lotus, saying “I’m very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked.
“I do The White Lotus and all of a sudden critics are paying attention. People are loving me. They’re going, ‘Oh my God, what’s she doing next?’ I was like, ‘Did you not see that in Euphoria? Did you not see that in The Handmaid’s Tale?’
Get ’em, Sydney.
