Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Department of Skill Education on Wednesday, December 29 conducted the minor subject exam for Food Nutrition & Dietetics (834) term-1 paper. The exam is reportedly held successfully from 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM with a 90-minute time duration at the designated centers across the country. The paper was reportedly held with a moderate difficulty level.

Based on the media reports, over 5 lakh students had registered for Class 12 minor subject examinations 2021-22. Following the revised scheme, the term-1 Food Nutrition & Dietetics paper is held in MCQ format with 43 questions. Out of the total, as many as 35 questions had to be answered.
Based on the students’ feedback, they were given 90 minutes to all questions. The maximum marks in the minor subject are 35. It is further reported that the marking scheme of all papers was similar. As there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Further should be noted that the CBSE will issue the official answer key of all Class 12 subjects soon. The answer key will be released in pdf format allowing students to check and access the same from the website – cbseacademic.nic.in.

The CBSE board is expected to release Class 12 term-1 exams 2021 official answer keys. Meanwhile, students can go through the solutions provided by the exam experts. With the help of the unofficial answer key, applicants stand a chance to calculate their scores. This score may differ a little from the actual score but can give a rough idea of the performance.

This 35-marks question paper was divided into 3 sections, viz., Section A, Section B, and Section C. In Section A, a total of 6 questions were asked of which, a total of 5 questions had to be attempted along with 06 questions on Employability Skills. Section B was consisted of 25 marks and had 30 questions on subject-specific skills. While in Section C, there were 05 marks and had 7 competency-based questions.
In the examination, questions were based on Employability Skills (05 marks) and Subject Specific Skills (30 marks). Questions were asked from the following units- Communication Skill- IV, Self-Management Skill-IV, and Information and Communication Technology Skill-IV, Clinical and Therapeutic Nutrition and Diet in Health and Disease: Cause, physiological conditions, clinical symptoms, and Dietary Management.
