Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted Class 12 Political Science (028) term 1 exam on Friday, December 17. The 90-minutes duration Political Science paper started at 11:30 am and concluded at 1:00 pm at designated exam centers. Many of the students who appear in the Political Science December 17 question paper divided into different codes reported the level as ‘difficult’. Below are the paper insight, difficulty analysis, and unofficial answer keys of the exam shared.

As per the provided guidelines, students were asked to report half an hour before at their respective exam centers. While in the examination hall, students were provided 20 minutes to read the question paper. They were given OMR sheets to attempt the paper and after the examination submit these sheets to the invigilator.

It is reported that the Political Science question paper was objective type and comprised of 60 questions of which students had to attempt 50. As per the defined bifurcated syllabus for 2-term exams, the maximum marks in the Class 12th Political Science term-1 paper are 40.

CBSE Class 12 Political Science Paper Analysis: Dec 17

The CBSE Class 12 Political Science paper was comprised of three sections- section A, B, and C. Section-A had 24 questions, of which 20 questions had to be answered. Similarly, in section B total of 24 questions were there, of which 20 questions were compulsory. While in section C, 10 questions had to be attempted of a total of 12. All questions carry equal marks without any negative marking for wrong answers.

Questions have been asked from 6 units divided into two parts- Part A and Part B with equal weightage.  Part A carrying maximum of 20 marks consisted of questions based on Constitution, Election and Representation, and Local Government. While, Part B with the same weightage consisted of questions from Political Theory, Rights, and Development.

It should be noted that the CBSE 12th Political Science Answer Key 2021 will be released by the board on its website cbse.nic.in.
