The Boston Celtics acquired the 27-year-old in a three-team deal with the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics this offseason. Porzingis opted into the final year of his contract to complete the trade.

Fans hope Porzingis doesn’t end up like former Celtics now Washington Wizard Danilo Gallinari, who suffered a torn ACL while playing overseas last summer, knocking him out the entire 2022-23 season.
Porzingis will join his fourth NBA team after spending three seasons with the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and two with the Washington Wizards.
During his NBA career, He averaged 19.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists on 45.3 percent from the field and 36 percent from long distance.
