The Boston Celtics were eliminated from the NBA playoffs this week with a disappointing Game 7 loss to the Miami Heat.
To make matters worse, a troubling story about Celtics managing partner Wyc Grousbeck emerged. According to a report from the Athletic, Grousbeck “Stormed” into the team’s locker room at the team fell down 0-3 in the series.
He allegedly told the team to “play with some balls” in what was described as a “fiery” speech. Boston went on to win the next three games of the series before dropping the ball in Game 7.
Fans weren’t thrilled with his decision.
“Can’t imagine the indifference in that room as the suit kicked down the locker room doors and demanded toughness,” one fan joked.

“If this is true – it is completely unnecessary and inappropriate. Wyc needs to step back and let the professionals run the team,” another fan said.
“Between this and verbally yelling at Mazzulla to change his coaching gameplans, he tried to hard to be involved rather than just being the owner,” added a third.
The Celtics will have to watch the NBA finals from home after a 103-84 home loss to the Heat.
