Damian Lillard is available after 11 seasons with the Portland Trailblazers.
While making his official trade request last Saturday, the All-Star made it known Miami Heat is his preferred destination.
But there’s another Eastern Conference team interested in Lillard, the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
“When you look at the league, and the preference is to win with the teams that have the assets and ability to get this done, the Boston Celtics have the ability to get this done.
“I know they have expressed some interest already, but this is not a team on his list. It’s not a city he would welcome going to right now, at least from what I understand. But in terms of teams that can win and have the assets (to make the trade), they make a lot of sense.”
It’s been reported that Miami is where Lillard wants to be traded, joining Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
