It sounds like Jaylen Brown isn’t going anywhere.
The Boston Celtics reportedly will extend the 26-year-old this offseason instead of trading him, according to Adam Himelsbach of The Boston Globe.
The five-year, $296 million super-max extension Brown can sign this summer would be the largest contract in NBA history.
“The Celtics do not intend to trade Jaylen Brown and all signs continue to point toward Brown signing a five-year, $295 million super-max extension with Boston.”

Brown, the two-time All-Star and 2022-23 All-NBA selection, proved to be one of the better players in the league during his seven seasons in Boston. Brown has also worked with All-Star Jayson Tatum to become of the most dominant duos in the league.
The former No. 3 overall pick is fresh off another strong season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists on 49.1 percent shooting from the field and 33.5 percent from long distance.
