Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, was released theatrically on December 10, this year. It is a romance drama film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Shuddh Desi Romance actor Vaani Kapoor.
CKA revolves around Ayushmann Khurana, who plays a cross-functional athlete as Manvinder Munjal, who owns a gym. His gym’s business sees far and few footfalls until the arrival of Vaani Kapoor (Maanvi) in the film. They both fall in love, and the story is changed when Munjal discovers the truth about Maanvi. As we know, despite receiving fantastic reviews from critics, the film was unable to generate a large amount of money at the box office, only managing to collect ₹36.44 crores in two weeks in gross statistics, failing to even recover its budget.
The film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock On, Kedarnath fame, and is produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-Series. As a result, the film may be available on the streaming platform four weeks following its theatrical debut. Aside from Ayushmann and Vaani, the film also starred Yash Bhojwani, Abhishek Bajaj, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh, Gaurav Sharma, Kanwaljit Singh, and Aanjjan Srivastav.

In terms of CKA, the picture did not perform well in theatres, so let’s see how the digital audience reacts to it. The streaming provider Netflix has acquired the film’s post-theatrical digital rights, and it is expected to be released in the second week of January 2022.
