Charles Barkley has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind. During and especially after his playing career, the Hall of Famer has always given his honest opinion on any topic he addresses.
As an NBA analyst, those opinions are generally reserved for what happens on the court. However, Barkley will venture outside of the basketball world from time to time.
That’s exactly what happened on Thursday after Game 1 of the NBA Finals, when Barkley appeared to reference the ongoing issues between FS1’s Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.

“You know, I don’t do social media so I get all my information off Bleacher Report,” Barkley said on the NBA TV postgame panel.
“I read an article. If you work with a damn idiot, they’ll buy you out. It’s not any of you, it’s Kenny [Smith]. So I just want you to know, I’m open to the buyout.”
Barkley appeared to make a joke referencing the reported buyout Shannon Sharpe has received from Fox Sports this week.
Sharpe, who has worked on FS1’s flagship show Undisputed for seven years, is reportedly leaving the show after the NBA Finals.
Some say Sharpe’s move away from Undisputed is a result of friction with fellow co-host Skip Bayless.
Fans have pointed to a number of recent incidents in which Sharpe appears to be frustrated or angry with Bayless, incidents that they believe have led to his departure from the show.
