Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are known for their back-and-forth banter during TNT’s NBA coverage. Usually, the two exchange jokes in good fun, but things can get a little heated from time to time.
Barkley even says there’s one thing Shaq does on set that gets under his skin.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the TNT crew reacted to videos of their partners’ pet peeves about them. For most of the panelists, their spouses appeared, but Shaq was greeted by Barkley, his longtime broadcast partner.
Sir Charles didn’t shy away from telling Shaq his biggest pet peeve.
“The way he drinks water,” Barkley said of O’Neal. “He doesn’t take like sips, he just like, guzzles the whole thing.”
The other members of the panel, Adam Lefkoe, Candace Parker and Jamal Crawford were able to awkwardly laugh their way through the segment, but O’Neal seemed too stunned to speak.
When Lefkoe asked how long he and Barkley had been together, O’Neal simply responded with an open-mouthed stare.
With O’Neal joining the TNT crew in 2011, the answer is right around 12 years. Over that time the pair has made NBA fans around the world laugh with some of the best moments in sports television history.
