Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson are two of the more popular sports figures in the media.
While working together on the broadcast set for Inside the NBA, a popular show for basketball fans, the two display great chemistry.
But on Thursday, Johnson received the shine when Barkley delivered the news, informing Ernie he’s a 2023 Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee.
“I’m the only person up here that knows this, and it’s an honor and privilege to congratulate Ernie Johnson on going into the sports broadcasting Hall of Fame,” Barkley said.”
Barkley said when he found out, he wanted to be the one who gave Johnson the great news.
Johnson looked shocked after hearing the news before expressing his appreciation for the honor.
“Get out of here,” Johnson said. “Man, that is awesome. Thank you so much. And whoever is responsible for this, I’m humbled beyond words.”
