Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre to Reunite for New Series Following Two and a Half Men Fallout

Charlie Sheen‘s exit from Two and a Half Men was anything but smooth. Sheen publicly badmouthed series creator Chuck Lorre, leading to Sheen’s dismissal. Sheen then filed a $100 million lawsuit against Lorre and Warner Bros. for wrongful termination. The lawsuit was settled in 2011, and later that year, Sheen said he wished “nothing but the best” for Lorre during an Emmy presentation. Even with that, it was hard to imagine the two would ever work together again. But, anything is possible and, per Deadline, the two are reuniting for Lorre’s upcoming comedy How to Be a Bookie.

How To Be a Bookie is co-written by Lorre and Nick Bakay, and stars Sebastian Maniscalco as a veteran bookie dealing with a number of issues, including unstable clients and the likely legalization of sports gambling. The series also stars mar J. Dorsey, Jorge Garcia, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, and Maxim Swinton. Sheen will appear in the series in a recurring role. Lorre, under his Chuck Lorre Productions banner, Bakay, Maniscalco, Judi Marmel, and Andy Tennant executive produce. Lorre directs the pilot episode. How To Be a Bookie is currently in production.
