Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Bacon presented the midweek instalment of Good Morning Britain together. With the episode airing just days before Christmas, Charlotte opted for a glittering festive dress. However, viewers were left distracted by her appearance for the duration of the ITV news programme, with many comparing the dress to a “Quality Street chocolate”.
Newsreader Charlotte, 46, donned a long-sleeved glittering deep purple dress while hosting the Good Morning Britain episode.
While she was presenting the latest headlines, ITV viewers took to Twitter as they were distracted by the eye-catching outfit.
Phil Turnton commented: “Why is Charlotte Hawkins dressed like a Quality Street chocolate?”
Dom Edinburgh added: “Anyone else seeing Quality Street in @CharlotteHawkns top?”

However, many viewers loved the dress, with Teresa directly tweeting the presenter: “Where is your dress from Charlotte it’s fabulous?”
Despite Lorraine finding Ben’s comment funny, Charlotte stepped in to apologise for her co-host’s comments.
“You like a Big Purple One in a Quality Street,” Ben joked.
“I do,” Lorraine laughed as she saw the funny side of Ben’s remark. “I’ll take that.”
Defending his comment, Ben continued: “You look like the delicious purple one, let’s leave it there.”
