Charlotte Jordan, 27, issued a statement on the “overwhelming” support her fans showed her following the airing of the Coronation Street episode that sees her character, Daisy Midgeley, get attacked with acid.
The horrific scenes showed Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) cruelly attacking the bride-to-be with acid before she heads down the aisle.
Charlotte took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an insight into her preparations behind the scenes to film the dramatic episode.
The snaps showed her getting her hair and makeup ready to film, as well as parts of the famous set appearing in the background.
In the caption, Charlotte thanked her fans for their messages of support as she raised awareness on the “prevalent” issue of acid attacks.

She wrote: “Feel quite overwhelmed with all the messages about last night’s Corrie.
“So many people to thank for delivering episodes on such a sensitive and unfortunately, prevalent subject matter.
“It really is a team effort and wanted to say thank you for watching, even when it’s hard.” (sic)
Fans of the actress rushed to the post’s comments section to heap praise on her for opening up on the subject.
Dec_fi said: “You were amazing last night, a standing ovation. Hope this will be recognised in time with many awards.”
