Parading many hats throughout her rise to fame, celebrity Abbie Chatfield has made an emotional announcement after her withdrawal from Beyond the Valley music festival in Melbourne.

The successful IT’S A LOT podcast host was set for a live episode at the event until Chatfield took to Instagram publicising it was no longer happening because she was “mentally and physically sick”.

“Unfortunately, I have had to make the decision to cancel this live performance,” she said. “2022 absolutely exhausted me and almost broke me.

“Mentally and physically I have been sick for most of the year, particularly the second half.

“I’ve run myself into the ground, pushing through when I felt I couldn’t do anymore, but I can’t push through this time.”

Chatfield claimed she was “not having a breakdown” but had gotten close several times over the past year.

“There should be a yellow light before red and I’m currently starting at the yellow light, hoping it goes green in 2023,” she said.

“If I were to do this show, it wouldn’t be as good as I would like.

“I’d feel I had half-baked it just to get something across the line, as I don’t have the mental or emotional bandwidth in me to create something that I’m proud of, let alone to fly to another State and perform it.”

The reality TV star turned award-winning radio host said she was listening to her “body and mind” and apologised to anyone she had disappointed.

Boasting a massive list of credentials including radio host, television personality, reality TV show winner, Hottest 100 contender, clothing designer and ‘beer brewer’, Chatfield has kept extremely busy throughout 2022.
