We’ve found hotels right by the beach with rooms starting from £32.99 a night

Travelodge Newquay Seafront is by far the cheapest option around with double rooms starting from just £32.99 a night – or £53.97 if you want breakfast and wifi thrown in.

Family rooms are available too for a budget-friendly £35.99 a night – for a family of four that’s just £9pp a night.

The location is excellent – it’s pretty much just across the road from Newquay station and a short walk down to Tolcarne Beach.

Set back from the beachfront, Oceanside Lifestyle Hotel offers a gorgeous view of the coastline.

It’s a short ten minute walk into the centre of Newquay and is close to Fistral beach.

Double rooms here start from a purse-friendly £50 a night – or it’s £65 if you want breakfast for two.

While its name might suggest otherwise, Best Western Hotel Bristol is in fact in Newquay.

It backs out onto the cliffs overlooking Tolcarne Beach and has a small indoor swimming pool as well.

Doubles here start from £56 a night and you can add breakfast for £12.

Located right on the edge of the cliff overlooking Tolcarne Beach, Great Western hotel is one of the most centrally located hotels in Newquay.

It’s just a couple of minutes walk away from everything you need, including Newquay train station and two sandy beaches.

Doubles here start from £60 a night – or £72 if you want breakfast as well.

The Esplanade Hotel is a bright and modern property within walking distance of Fistral Beach, one of the widest stretches of sand in Newquay.

There’s lots to keep you busy, from a surf school on site to a games room and large indoor pool.

Stay in a double room from £66 a night, or £75 with breakfast.

For a couple’s break, try the adults-only Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa.

There’s panoramic views of Fistral Bay for the sunset and a spa with hot tub, pool and sauna.

Double rooms start from £75 a night but you’ll need to pay an extra £25 if you want breakfast.

The Old Success Inn offers sweeping views of Porth Senan and is within easy walking distance of the nearby beach.

It’s a 17th century inn so has plenty of character but the rooms are smart and modern.

A double start from £80 a night and includes a cooked breakfast.

Widemouth Manor is set back from the beach but it has a gorgeous view of Widemouth Bay from its restaurant and some of the rooms.

The bar and restaurant is the perfect place to catch the sunset and, if the weather is good, there’s outdoor seating too.

Double rooms here start from £95 a night – or £100 a night if you want a cooked breakfast for two.
