Cheesecake fave Crumble & Whisk opens Oakland bakery and cafe

Charles Farriér of Crumble & Whisk first graced the East Bay with his creative mini cheesecakes back in 2016. Now, the pastry chef is taking those popular farmer’s market desserts to his very own bakery café.

Last week, Farriér opened Crumble & Whisk’s first brick and mortar at 4104 Macarthur Blvd., in the Laurel District of Oakland. Farrier, a native of Oakland who jumpstarted Crumble & Whisk via kitchen incubator La Cocina, is offering his a wide range of baked goods and pastries in addition to a breakfast and lunch menu. Soft opening hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. You can take a peek at Farrier’s offerings on the Crumble & Whisk website or its Instagram page.
