Chelsea on-loan midfielder Saul Niguez has given his thoughts on why Eden Hazard has failed replicate his Chelsea form for Real Madrid.

Having swapped Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu in 2019, the Belgian has struggled to stay fit and impress in Spain.

Former midfielder Frank Lampard has taken Ashley Cole from the club and given him a role in his backroom staff at Everton.

While Thomas Tuchel has asked the club to sign a Real Madrid defender in the summer.

Saul delivers Hazard verdict

Hazard joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 ready to take his game to the next level.

But injuries have limited the winger’s impact in Spain and he’s only managed to make 61 appearances in three years.

Saul, who is on loan from Madrid’s rivals Atletico, has given his thoughts as to why he has struggled.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, the midfielder said that the leagues are ‘totally different.’

Cole takes role at Everton

Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has left the club’s backroom staff to join ex-teammate Frank Lampard at Everton.

Lampard took over at Goodison Park at the start of the week and has wasted no time assembling his staff.

Cole will join ex-Chelsea coach Paul Clement at Goodison Park and will serve as a first-team coach on Merseyside.

Lampard and Cole worked together at Derby County and at Chelsea briefly.

Tuchel eyes Madrid’s Militao

Chelsea are set to undergo a major rebuild in the summer with three key defenders out of contract.

Antonio Rudiger,Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta could all leave for free, leaving Tuchel in desperate need of reinforcements.

The German coach has his eyes set on Real Madrid defender Eder Militao and has reportedly asked for the club to make the funds available to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.

Militao has been a pivotal part of the Madrid side that is currently leading La Liga.
