Hazard offer ‘accepted’

Eden Hazard may be set to return to the Premier League with Newcastle United following reports Real Madrid have accepted an offer for the forward.

Spanish publication El Nacional [Via Football.London ] reports that Newcastle have made a €40m (£33m) offer plus another €10m (£8.3m) in “variables” for the former Chelsea winger.

It is also reported that the bid “met the expectations” of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who promptly accepted it.

Chelsea have been linked with making a move to bring Hazard back to Stamford Bridge during this month’s January transfer window, but it remains to be seen whether they will enter the bidding for the Real Madrid forward.

Blues “outbid” Barcelona

Chelsea have outbid Barcelona in their attempts to bring PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa to Stamford Bridge, it has been reported.

The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new left-sided defender this month following Ben Chilwell’s season-ending injury which was suffered during Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Juventus on November 23.

And El Nacional reports that the Blues are chasing Kurzawa, who Barca had also wanted to provide competition for Jordi Alba.

The report adds that Roman Abramovich has “identified Kurzawa as a great candidate to land at Stamford Bridge” and the club will move for the defender this month.

Tchouameni boost

Chelsea have been given a “free run” to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer transfer window, it has been claimed.

The French midfielder has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

But Football.London reports the Blues will have the advantage in sealing Tchouameni’s signature, with their rivals looking elsewhere to improve their options in the middle of the park.

And that could see the Blues land Tchouameni, who has been touted as N’Golo Kante’s successor in their midfield.

The report also predicts Thomas Tuchel could “build his new-look midfield” around the France international.
