Chelsea target Andrey Santos was jokingly tied up by his Vasco da Gama team-mates on Wednesday in an attempt to stop him from signing for the Blues. The Brazilian sensation has made a name for himself in his homeland this year and helped his team finish fourth in the league last season.
According to ESPN, Chelsea have already reached an agreement with Vasco to sign Santos, with the ace likely to move to England in January. The 18-year-old, who has been capped by Brazil at under-20s level, has already made 37 appearances for his club and notched eight goals last season.
He is an all-round midfielder and can make an impact going forward as well as defensively. And it appears his team-mates don’t want him to quit the club.
Santos was training with Vasco earlier this week. And a picture has emerged on Instagram which shows him being restrained by being tied up with white tape.

Potter will be desperate for his side to break into the top four over the coming months to ensure they cement Champions League qualification once again. They have it all to do, however, as they currently find themselves eighth in the Premier League table, six points behind fourth-place Tottenham. But with the Blues set to face Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace either side of a clash with Manchester City, Potter will be confident of picking up points in the coming weeks.
Potter has also led Chelsea to the last 16 of the Champions League after finishing top of Group E. And the Blues will now go head-to-head with Borussia Dortmund in a two-legged showdown in February and March.
