Cher has fuelled speculation she is engaged to her 36-year-old boyfriend by posting a picture of a diamond ring on Christmas Day.
The 76-year-old confirmed her relationship with music executive Alexander Edwards in November, tweeting a picture of him accompanied by a red heart emoji.
However, fans were shocked to see her tweet an image of a dazzling diamond ring on December 25, writing: “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.”
Some congratulated her, but others worried about his intentions – however, the iconic musician hit back, saying: “As we All Know …I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am.”
Edwards is the ex-partner of model and TV star Amber Rose, with whom he shares a three-year-old son, Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
Rose gained prominence after beginning a high-profile relationship with Kanye West in 2008, before marrying rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2013, with whom she also shares a child.
Widely known as the Goddess of Pop, Cher herself has been married twice before – first to Sonny Bono in 1964, and then to Gregg Allman in 1975.
It comes weeks after a rough beginning to December for the singer, after she lost her mum Georgia Holt.
She shared a brief tweet with her four million followers which said: “Mom is gone.”
