A tragedy occurred earlier this week when a seven-year-old died after being hit by a golf cart driven by his three-year-old brother.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the younger child was driving the cart on private property on Monday and was approaching a curve when he hit his brother, according to ABC News.

Police did not say why the child was driving the golf cart, but said the older child was standing in front of a home when he was hit.
The seven-year-old was taken to hospital but didn’t survive.

The younger child was not injured, though he was not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet, according to police.
ABC said more than 6,500 children are injured by golf carts every year in the United States.
