Chris Eubank Jr has revealed he bit Liam Williams whilst fighting his way to a points victory over the Welshman on Saturday night.
Eubank put on a fantastic performance as he outpointed Williams on all three judges scorecards, which read 116-109, 116-108 and 117-109.
The Brit silenced the raucous home crowd when he put Williams down during the opening round, dropping the Welshman again in the second with a left hook.
An early finish was on the cards for Eubank after another knockdown, but Williams responded to the crowd’s support in the midpoint of the fight.
The referee had to repeatedly break up the action as Williams engaged in the clinch, with Eubank dropping the Welshman for a fourth time in the 11th round.
And the Brit later admitted he intentionally bit Williams because of his “dirty” fighting.

“We knew he was going to come dirty and try everything he could to take the fight to me, whether it was in or out of the rules of boxing,” he told reporters after the fight.
“I’m upset the referee didn’t take a point for the amount of headlocks, headbutts and everything was going on. I actually had to bite him at one point
“I’ve never bitten anybody in the ring before. He squeezed his arm around his neck, his glove was kind of close to my mouth so I gave it a bite as hard as I could.
“If he’s going to fight dirty, I’m going to fight dirty. It is what it is, it was a fun fight.”
Eubank, who had called out middleweight world titleholder Gennady Golovkin before the bout, extended his unbeaten run to six fights by outpointing Williams.
The Brit is now unbeaten in four years as he continues to push for a world title shot, with Golovkin labelling Eubank’s call-out as ” cheap “.

And Eubank admitted his fight with Williams was “personal” because of the pre-fight trash talk between them.
“This was a personal occasion for me, it’s never personal for me. I’ll always shake a man’s hand after a fight, I didn’t do that,” he continued.
“I think this is the first time in my career I’ve ever not done that. Just the things he said… when you start talking about family, it’s unforgivable”
“Until there’s a public apology for the things he said, that’s how it’s going to be. I wanted to let him know who I am and who he isn’t.
“Boxing is about levels as they say and he needed to understand that he is not on my level.”
