Sex and The City’s Chris Noth is slammed by furious co-star after dropping a massive spoiler from his new series Gone

Chris Noth’s ex-girlfriend Beverly Johnson previously made claims that the actor punched her and threatened to kill her, according to court documents.

Page Six reports Johnson, who dated the Sex and the City actor from 1990 to 1995, allegedly filed for a temporary restraining order in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 1, 1995 – requesting he stay 500 yards away from her, her daughter and their dog.

In the documents, Johnson alleged: “Chris Noth punched me in the chest and ribs, injuring my ribs, making it difficult to breathe, punching and bruising my face and body in which I had to have medical attention.”

She continued: “On July 27, 1995, he made repeated threats on my life making up to 25 calls per day threatening to kill me [and] destroy my face. Threatened to kill dog.”

The publication added that Johnson also asked the judge to order Noth – who was recently accused of sexual assault by three women – to “make no calls to others with threats against me. Restraining from slandering my character + good name.”

At the time, the judge approved the temporary restraining order and on October 3 1995, the order was then made permanent with a mutual restraining order.

The judge wrote in the order: “Neither party shall make any derogatory statements about the other of any nature or description to another person or entity not encourage or participate in any party making any such derogatory comments about the other to any third person or entity.”

Noth and Johnson agreed not to “contact, molest, attack, strike, threaten, sexually assault, batter, telephone or disturb the peace of the other.”

It comes as a dark cloud has been drawn over the recent success of Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That… as cast member Chris Noth has been hit with a string of allegations of sexual misconduct – allegations he strongly denies.

He is famous to millions as the character John James “Mr Big” Preston – playing the role since Sex and the City began in 1998 and being killed off in episode one of the spin-off series which premiered this month.

Mr Noth’s And Just Like That… co-stars have this week broken their silence on the allegations to say they side with the alleged victims.

Mr Noth himself has dismissed the accusations levelled against him.

He said in a statement: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.

“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
