On Thursday, veteran point guard Chris Paul was sent to the Golden State Warriors in a blockbuster trade.
Paul was apparently unaware that the trade was going down. During a recent interview, he revealed that his son broke the news to him after he got off the court following a pickup game in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“After the game got over at 1, little Chris came over and told me,” Paul explained.

Earlier in the week, the Phoenix Suns traded Paul to Washington in a trade for Bradley Beal. Just a couple days later, the Wizards decided to send the future Hall of Fame point guard back out west to Golden State in exchange for Jordan Poole.
Paul seems excited to be joining a title-contending franchise this coming season.
“I’m all about winning,” he said.” Whatever gives me the opportunity to win, I’m all for it.”
