Chris Paul has often opposed Stephen Curry, but the star point guards are now teammates after the Golden State Warriors acquired Paul from the Washington Wizards.
During an NBA Today interview on Monday, Paul told Malika Andrews he’s glad to join forces with his friend.
“Me and Steph have known each other a long time,” Paul said. “My wife was at his wedding, I think him and his wife was at our wedding. We’ve known each other for a very, very long time. I’m excited to get a chance to play alongside him.”

He commended Golden State’s “unbelievable organization” that’s often blocked his path to a championship over the years. Now playing for his sixth different team, Paul isn’t worried about building a rapport with former rivals.
“I’m definitely excited about this because these guys know what it’s all about,” he said. “They’ve been there, they’ve won over and over again. I’m glad to be a part of that process.”
While Curry has won four championships with the Warriors, Paul continues to fight for his first ring. Golden State could give the 38-year-old that opportunity if he can mesh on the court with Curry and Co.
