Last week, the Warriors acquired All-Star point guard Chris Paul in a blockbuster trade with the Wizards.
Speaking to TMZ this week, Paul was asked about his future in Golden State. He made it clear that he’s excited to play alongside Steph Curry and other great players.
“I’m excited,” Paul said. “I know I’ve been the sworn enemy for a long time but I cannot wait to be there, and I cannot wait to get in the locker room with all those guys.”
Paul was then asked if he wants the Warriors to re-sign Draymond Green in free agency. The future Hall of Famers have clashed in the past.
Despite their history, Paul wants Green on the Warriors for the 2023-24 season.
“Absolutely,” Paul replied when asked if he’s trying to bring Green back to Golden State.

In 2020, Green admit that he’s not fond of Paul.
“I don’t like CP at all,” Green said of Paul. “Like we don’t have a good relationship at all, but I respect his hustle and I respect his IQ.”
If Green re-signs with the Warriors, he’ll need to work on his chemistry with Paul.
