Sagittarius season officially came to an end on December 21. And among the last few Sags to celebrate another year around the sun was none other than singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera, who marked her 42nd birthday with a glam look that took her back in time to the early 2000s.
On the last day of Sag season and three days after her official birthday, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer posted a photo of her birthday look for her over eight million Instagram folllowers to enjoy. Fans flocked to the comments with heart-eye and fire emojis to convey their praise for her textured hair and glossy lips. Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero parted Aguilera’s platinum blonde hair down the middle and added loose waves for some dimension, which you can see in-action in the second slide of the video. Aguilera has been all about the inches lately, so the tips of her white hair cascaded towards her hips. If you look closely, you can also notice her darker roots growing in.
Makeup artist Etienne Ortega worked on her glossy beauty look. He blended her base to perfection, adding a rosy blush and shimmery highlighter to tint her cheeks. He drew a sharp but subtle cat eye and paired it with wispy doll-like lashes. But her uber-glossy lips may be our favorite part of the whole birthday glam. This color combination looks so perfect on Aguilera that we bet Ortega used multiple hues to achieve the pink-y neutral ombré lip.
