Ciara Kicked Off Grammys Weekend With Bleach Blonde Finger Waves

0

There’s lots to love about the hooded gown trend, but our favorite part (of course) is how celebrities are tailoring their hairstyles to complement the mysterious silhouette. Ciara is the latest star to wear the look, pairing a black, velvet, floor-length gown with bright, blonde finger waves that give her a goddess-like aura.

Ciara’s beauty and styling team put the look together to kick off Grammys weekend with a bang. Hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez was responsible for shaping the pristine waves that fall against her forehead with a 1920s-style curl. Her hair color’s platinum hue complements the brass arm sleeve she wore on her right arm, and makeup artist Yolonda Frederick tied it together with a golden highlight down her nose and a nude lip gloss. Her red manicure is the perfect finishing touch on this fierce ensemble — maybe she heard about the red nail theory on #BeautyTok?

If you think she would end the night with only one hairstyle, we’re here to tell you that it only gets better. She later performed at the Recording Academy Honors Presented by the Black Music Collective, swapping her waves for a slicked-back wet-looking style with all of her hair placed behind her shoulders. Chron reported that it was a night where musical legends Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott, and Dr Dre were celebrated; Ciara honored Elliott by singing a slew of her songs. Hopefully, we’ll get even more exciting looks from Ciara during the big show on Sunday night.
