Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been quite busy. Following the Asia-Pacific premiere of Citadel in India, the actress headed to London for the premiere following which she had another premiere in Rome. On Tuesday, the actress was in attendance at the Los Angeles premiere of the Prime Video series. The actress was joined by Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, and the team of Citadel.
Citadel star Priyanka Chopra reveals what she did with her first ‘big cheque’: ‘I bought my first car; diamond’
In one of her recent interviews with Popsugar, Priyanka was asked what she did with her first ‘big cheque’. She said, “When I got the first big cheque I bought my first car. I bought myself a solitaire like a diamond myself. I started buying jewellery for myself or a car for myself whenever I had a big job or when I felt like celebrating an achievement. My parents used to always really encourage that like my mom drove me herself to a dealership once and she was like you know what, ‘buy yourself something.’”
Citadel is set for this week’s release on the platform. The synopsis reads, “Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency – tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people – was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.”
Citadel is executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and showrunner David Weil. Alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, the 6-episode series features Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in pivotal roles. This spy series, which takes viewers around the world, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video starting April 28 with two episodes and then one episode rolling out weekly through May 26. The global series will stream in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and other international languages.
On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra also has an array of line up including Love Again with Celine Dion and Sam Hueghan. She is starring in Heads Of State with Idris Elba and John Cena and Ending Things with Anthony Mackie. The actress also has the Hindi film Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. The road trip film will be directed by Farhan Akhtar.
