Coachella 2022: Weekend 2 set times, schedule with when you can see Harry Styles, Karol G and more

0

Going to Weekend 2 of the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival? Here are the set times for the fest’s encore at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

Harry Styles headlines Friday, April 22, but one of the most buzzed-about sets from Friday Weekend 1 was Anitta. Billie Eilish closes the night on Saturday, April 23, but don’t miss Danny Elfman’s weird and wonderful production on the Outdoor Theatre stage. The festival will wrap Sunday, April 24, with Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd sharing top billing, but highlights from last weekend earlier in the day included Karol G’s main stage performance as well as Yola and Orville Peck.

A couple of differences to note from Weekend 1 is that Run the Jewels moved from main stage Sunday to Mojave on Friday. Surf Curse moved from main on Sunday to Gobi Tent on Saturday for Weekend 2. Chelsea Cutler, who performed Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Theatre is replacing Bishop Briggs’ Friday spot on that stage. Briggs announced Thursday she was pulling out of the festival due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Goldenvoice released the set times for Weekend 2 and here they are:

And here’s a closer look.

On the main stage, the biggest change on Friday is the addition of Saish K as the opener.

On the Outdoor Theatre, Coby replaces Yimbo as the opening act. Chelsea Cutler has moved into Bishop Briggs’ spot after Briggs had to pull out due to COVID-19.

In Sonora, Crudo replaces Jim Smith from Weekend 1 to open the stage.

Over at Gobi, The Marías and Slowthai have swapped spots from Weekend 1.

In the Mojave Tent, Meute, the German techno marching band, is starting earlier and getting an extra 20 minutes. Idles moves up to the time slot where Arcade Fire played a surprise set Weekend 1. Run the Jewels, which played the main stage last Sunday in the heat, will now follow Idles on Friday in Mojave.

The Sahara has added Gabe Real (who played Sunday Weekend 1 on the Main Stage) and DJ Lord to start the day before GG Magree.

The Yuma Tent kept the same lineup as Weekend 1.

For Saturday, April 22, there aren’t any changes of note on the main Coachella stage beyond a couple of times. It looks like the 88 rising showcase is getting an extra five minutes over Weekend 1.

Things get started later on Weekend 1 on the Outdoor Theatre stage, with Loboman x Massio replacing Gingee from Weekend 1. And since Chelsea Cutler moved to Friday, there’s nobody replacing her on Saturday.

In the Sonora, Kuma replaces Buster Jarvis from Weekend 1 to open the stage.

The Gobi Tent opens with Wave Groove for Weekend 2 instead of Mark Lizaola. Also, Surf Curse, who played the main stage on Sunday of Weekend 1, replaces Current Joys’ former timeslot.

In the Mojave, Sabeerah Najee is the new opener for Weekend 2

At the Sahara Tent, DJ Susan replaces DJ Lord and Latane from Fundido from Weekend 1.

Yuma remains the same for Weekend 2.

For Sunday, the main Coachella stage loses Gabe Real, Surf Curse and Run the Jewels from Weekend 1 (they’ve moved to different days/stages), but adds Tiffany Tyson to kick things off. Karol G and Maggie Rogers move uo by 20 minutes, too.

At the Outdoor Theatre, Dave P’s opening set has been replaced by Jaqckglam. Joji, who left the stage ill for part of his set last week, is booked again for the evening.

In the Sonora Tent, Aregnis replaces Interventionboi to start things off. Current Joys moved to a different say, so Nathy Peluso has an earlier set.

Over at the Gobi, Jillesque replaces Massio to start the day and that’s the only change.

At Mojave, Yimbo replaces Weekend 1 performer Inglish to get things started and that’s the lone difference.

At Sahara, Beijing Junglist will open the day instead of Cre-8.

There are significant set time changes over in Yuma, with Luttrell moving from a Weekend 1 afternoon set to closing down the tent. Michael Bibi now moves before Fatboy Slim and Bedouin gets a longer set and moves before Bibi. Satori is no longer on the Sunday Yuma lineup.
