One of the better college basketball matchups on Monday takes place between the Colgate Raiders and the Army Black Knights.
Colgate comes into this game with a 9-7 record, but it has won three straight games. The Black Knights are on a four-game streak to move themselves over .500 on the season at 9-7 as well.
This should be a pretty even matchup based on records, but Vegas has the Raiders favored by 7.5 points.
It makes sense when you look at Colgate’s offensive profile, as the team ranks No. 1 in the country in 3-point percentage and effective field goal percentage.
Can Army keep things close at home or will the Raiders be too good offensively?

Colgate vs. Army prediction and pick
KenPom projects this as a road win for the Raiders by six points, but I don’t think that betting a side is the best way to take advantage of this matchup.
The Raiders are the best shooting team in the country, but they also struggle on defense, ranking 341st in opponent effective field goal percentage and 272nd in adjusted defensive efficiency.
Because of that, I think the OVER is the way to go with Army also sporting an elite offensive attack this season.
The Black Knights come into this game ranking No. 21 in the country in effective field goal percentage and 66th in 3-point percentage.
Like Colgate, the Black Knights’ defensive metrics aren’t great (297th in adjusted defensive efficiency), so I expect baskets to be fairly easy to come by for both sides.
Colgate has gone over this number in three of its last four games, and I think both teams rely on their shooting to win this matchup, leading to a ton of points.
