The New York Knicks got trounced by the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals – much to the amusement of FOX’s Colin Cowherd.
Taking to Twitter, Cowherd noted how the Heat were leading the Knicks by 20 in the fourth quarter despite only shooting 39-percent. His word to describe watching the Knicks in that moment was “painful.”
“Miami shooting 39% and still leading by 22. Knicks have been painful,” Cowherd wrote. The Knicks went on to lose 105-86.
It’s hard to argue with the man. Not one of the Knicks’ starters had better than 50-percent shooting on the night and all were held to 20 points or fewer.

Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett in particular have been hard to watch in this series. They combined for just 24 points while going nine of 31 in shooting.
Not one of their players was better than a minus-four in plus-minus.
The Knicks have one more game to play in Miami before returning to Madison Square Garden for Game 5 but if they play as poorly as they did today, their Garden return is going to be an elimination game as opposed to a chance to take control of the series.
What word would you use to describe the Knicks right now? Are the Knicks done?
