Monday saw Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green decline his player option with the team, making him an unrestricted free agent.
And while Colin Cowherd doesn’t think his Volume podcast mate will end up leaving Golden State, he does think one team could really use him.
“The only team that has a ton of cap space, there’s two that I would look at – Oklahoma City and San Antonio,” Cowherd said. “In Oklahoma City’s case, you add Draymond Green to that team tomorrow, they’d be really interesting. If I was OKC I’d make a call on Draymond Green.”
"If you put Draymond on Oklahoma City, that's a playoff team that wins some games."

Cowherd could also see Green possibly being a veteran presence for Victor Wembanyama and the young Spurs, but thinks the Thunder would still be the best option if he decides to go elsewhere.
“Oklahoma City’s the only one I look at and think ‘Oh, put Draymond on Oklahoma City that’s a playoff team that wins some games.'”
The syndicated sports radio host also called Green arguably the most impactful player in league history that averages less than 10 points per game. We’ll see how both sides decide to navigate this going forward.
