A two-loss week will knock North Carolina off the top of the polls, but how far did UNC slide in this week’s college basketball power rankings?

Feast Week has come and gone with plenty of drama at MTEs throughout the land. Plenty of upsets rocked events like the Phil Knight Invitational and the Battle 4 Atlantis, leading to a big shakeup in this week’s college basketball power rankings.

What does that mean for North Carolina, which was second in last week’s rankings and first in the polls before dropping two straight games? Read on to find out as we kick off the Week 4 power rankings with the honorable mentions.

Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, Auburn, UCONN

The Tar Heels, along with the Blue Devils, dropped out of the Top 10 after their losses at Phil Knight events. While Duke’s defeat against Purdue was a discouraging no-show, there are legitimate causes for concern with North Carolina, which narrowly beat Portland before losing to Iowa State and Alabama (in a four-overtime thriller) as it continues to look sluggish to start the season.

Michigan State maintained its positioning by going 2-1 with the one loss coming to Alabama. Auburn is new to this section after posting a quality home win against Saint Louis while UCONN’s strong showing at the Phil Knight Invitational helped it come within a hair of the Top 10.
