National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: Letter carriers accept nonperishable food donations by your mailbox, May 13. Place your bagged items outside well before your carrier’s normal pick-up time (suggested time is 9 a.m.). Suggested food items: canned beans, salmon and tuna; canned fruits and vegetables; whole grain, low-sugar cereals; macaroni and cheese dinners; peanut butter. The Adult Skills Center’s Color Our World 5K Fun Walk: The 5K walk is a fundraiser for the nonprofit that helps individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, 10 a.m. May 13.
