Now in its fifth year, the Concord Comfort Food Restaurant Week promotion aims to introduce diners to new restaurants or reintroduce them to old faves by highlighting these eateries and their homey favorites.
“Concord’s food scene continues to grow with more than 350 restaurants and 27 different ethnic cuisines,” Elaine Schroth, CEO and President of Visit Concord, said in a statement. “We invite everyone to visit Concord in January to get your fill of the comfort food you crave during the colder winter days.”
From Friday, Jan. 14, through Jan. 31, more than 30 restaurants will offer discounts and “buy one, get one free” deals. Most are family-owned businesses.
La Fritanguera is giving out a free empanada with purchase. At Bambino’s, you’ll get a free cup of chicken noodle soup with an entree. Next Level Burger’s deal is a BOGO on chili cheese dogs, and Puesto is doing a BOGO taco. Luna Ristorante is offering a slice of creme brulee cheesecake with each entree. And at Huckleberry’s, it’s a free order of beignets with every two entrees.
Many of the other participants are giving customers discounts on their total bill.
