Conor Benn and Kell Brook were involved in a wild ringside scrap at the Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron fight in Dublin.

With the main card just getting underway in the Irish capital, former IBF welterweight champion Brook was giving an interview with Matchroom media when Benn approached him.

After a brief exchange of words, the two clashed with security pulling the two apart.

Benn is set to return this summer despite being provisionally suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control after his failed drug tests in the lead up to last year’s grudge fight with Chris Eubank Jr.

The 26-year-old has not fought in over a year, last out in April 2022 when he stopped Chris van Heerden inside two rounds.

Having maintained his innocence throughout the drug test saga, Benn is expected to fight overseas in June or July with the hunt still underway for his next opponent.

‘His career is about to resume. And he wants to resume with a massive fight, he has no interest in a warm-up fight,’ Benn’s promoter told Metro.co.uk in April.

‘He wants Manny Pacquiao, he wants Chris Eubank Jr, he wants Errol Spence Jr, he wants all of them. The eyes of the world are going to be on Conor, unfortunately for reasons we would rather not. But we are where we are.’

Brook meanwhile retired from boxing last year following his victory over old rival Amir Khan but has teased a return to the ring.

The 36-year-old traded words with Benn on social media earlier this year over leaked sparring footage between the two, insisting he would relish the opportunity to come out of retirement and ‘show him what time it is.’
