Conor McGregor accused of attacking woman on yacht, threatening to drown her.

Conor McGregor is facing yet another assault allegation against a woman.

According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, the woman, who came from the neighborhood where McGregor grew up, was partying at a nearby club and was invited to continue the party on his yacht in Ibiza, Spain.

According to the outlet, she says while on the yacht McGregor “suddenly became aggressive” when she asked to bring a friend on the yacht. She said, “All his behavior changed at that moment.”

She says that she “feared for her life: and fled the yacht.”

She told police that she jumped from the yacht into the water and began to swim toward the island of Formentera but was rescued by a Red Cross boat.

According to the outlet, she reported the incident in Ibiza and again in Dublin when she returned which “has led a court in Ibiza to reopen the investigation.”

MMA Junkie reported that the victim also said, “It was as if he was possessed. I knew that I had to get off the boat because I thought that he was going to kill me. … We have mutual friends and I have met him numerous times. I can’t believe what he did to me. He is a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t got off the yacht.”

The outlet also reported that McGregor “attacked her with a kick to the midsection, punched her and said he was going to drown her.”

Another Spanish outlet, Ultima Hora, reports that she initially told police it was McGregor who attacked her but then said she wanted to return to Ireland and wouldn’t identify him.

McGregor’s spokesperson, Karen Kessler, denied that allegation to the outlet. “Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”

Conor McGregor is not stranger to controversy

Irish law protects those who are accused of crimes by not reporting the names of accused, so McGregor will likely not be named as the attacker in an official capacity. This is also was McGregor was never officially named by police in an alleged rape case, though the NY Times did confirm with police who wanted to remain off the record.

Here’s a brief breakdown of just some of the legal issues McGregor has been faced with in the last few years:

  • March 2022: Detained for six traffic violations, including two for dangerous driving
  • Nov. 2019: A conviction for assaulting a man in a bar (he now owns that same bar)
  • Aug. 2019: Arrest in Miami for damaging a man’s phone
  • April 2018: Arrest for throwing a dolly through a UFC bus window
