Cooking Simulator and Ghost Recon Wildlands headline PC Game Pass in August 2022

It’s the start of a new month, which means Microsoft has revealed the next wave of games going to (and leaving) Game Pass. The subscription service is getting seven more releases to start off the month, which include both Cooking Simulator and Ghost Recon Wildlands. For the latter, it’s the latest in a wave of Ubisoft games added to the service. PC Game Pass for August 2022 is starting off nicely with games that appeal to a pretty broad range of players.

This is only the first wave of new games coming to PC Game Pass in August, but it’s a varied bunch. Shooting, sports, simulation, and strategy, all are genres finding representation starting today. The first game out of the gate is in fact Ghost Recon Wildlands, which is available today. It joins its Ubisoft brethren, Watch Dogs 2 and Far Cry 5.

After Ghost Recon hits the scene, six other games will soon join it. On August 4, both the programming puzzler Shenzhen I/O and sports racer Turbo Golf Racing will be available. Two Point Campus will appear on August 9 as a day one launch game. Next, Cooking Simulator, Expeditions: Rome, and Offworld Trading Company arrive on August 11. Expeditions, Offworld, and Shenzhen are the only games not available through the cloud. But for the others, you can play them on multiple devices so long as  you’re a subscriber.

And now for the ol’ Game Pass caveat: the titles leaving the service for the month. Subscribers will bid farewell to five games this time around. Boyfriend Dungeon, Curse of the Dead Gods, Train Sim World 2, Starmancer, and Library of Ruina are sadly taking a hike on August 15. Microsoft is allowing subscribers to purchase the games for up to 20% off, just in case there are any here you can’t be without.
