Coronation Street’s Tyrone Dobbs’ life in danger as thug vows revenge

Coronation Street’s Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) could be in grave danger thanks to his grandmother, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman). Evelyn recently brought home a dog that wasn’t hers because the owner was abusing it and she acted without thinking, wanting to save the poor animal.

However, it seems the thug, Terry Fensley (Jamie Foster), is now on to her. In Monday’s episode of the ITV soap, he accused her of taking the dog before following her home and spotting Cassandra “Cassie” Plummer (Claire Sweeney) walking the dog back into the house.

Tyrone’s daughters, Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) have also fallen in love with the pooch, whom they have named Taylor, after Taylor Swift. After Terry saw Taylor with Evelyn, he had all the proof he needed to go after her.

In a tense scene that aired on Monday, he locked Evelyn in the shop and frightened her, threatening violence.

Unbeknownst to Terry, Evelyn had already handed Taylor over to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) so he could drop her off at the rescue shelter.

Thankfully, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) heard her cry for help as they passed the shop.

The pair tried to get in but thanks to the locked door, were helpless.

Evelyn eventually broke free of Terry, who stormed off, seething.

As she broke down in tears to Dev and Gary, Evelyn decided not to explain the whole situation.

Later, Terry tracked down Tyrone and punched him furiously. He was about to do even more damage when Ken Barlow (William Roache) walked by and told him he was calling the police.

Terry vowed he would be back to get his dog. While Evelyn pleaded with him to tell the police the truth, Tyrone was worried what the consequences might be, and told officers the person who attacked him was a random stranger who had no motive.

Could he have sealed his own terrible fate? Evelyn and Cassie looked terrified while a calm Tyrone explained what he had decided to do.

“If he’s not going to tell the police, someone’s got to do something – fellas like him don’t just go away,” Cassie argued.

“Right, you don’t grass on people like him, not unless you want your windows going through,” Tyrone replied.

As he tried to convince his mother and grandmother what he did was for the best, the two women seemed very anxious.

“I hope you’re right,” Evelyn told him sharing a knowing look with Cassie.

Could Terry come back and, not wanting to attack an elderly woman, take his anger out on Tyrone? How far could he take it?

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV.
