COTE Korean Steakhouse To Open First International Outpost In Singapore In Late 2023

COTE Korean Steakhouse, awarded Michelin stars at both its New York and Miami locations, will be opening its first international outpost in Singapore. Set to open in Q4 of 2023, COTE Singapore will be located within COMO Orchard, the latest development by the COMO Group at the heart of Orchard Road.

The Singapore location will remain true to COTE’s philosophy of marrying the conviviality of Korean BBQ and the prime cuts of an American steakhouse while introducing seasonal ingredients. The menu will feature their signature Butcher’s Feast, offering diners a chance to experience four cuts of quality meat and a variety of Korean-inspired side dishes.

New York-based Modellus Novus, the architecture firm behind both of COTE’s locations, will be designing the space. It will feature a variety of immersive spaces, which includes a cocktail bar, music room and more.

“I feel an extreme sense of gratitude and excitement as our team is getting ready to make our international debut in one of the most diverse cities in the world,” said Simon Kim, Proprietor of Gracious Hospitality Management, the team behind COTE, in a statement. “I have always been inspired by the vibrant culture and growing culinary scene of Singapore and having the opportunity to work with Christina Ong and one of the most prominent family-owned hotel groups, being a part of their pivotal homecoming moment, is a dream come true.”

On his Instagram, Kim wrote, “[Chef] David Shim and I are already working on adding some local flavors to make COTE Singapore truly one-of-a-kind. If you’re not based locally, I hope you’ll add it to your travel list. For those in Singapore, I look forward to welcoming you to the COTE family soon!”

Aside from their COMO Hotels and Resorts, which spans properties from London to Bhutan, the group’s culinary repertoire in the Lion City also includes Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s The Dempsey Cookhouse and Bar, and Malcolm Lee’s Candlenut, the first Peranakan restaurant in the world awarded a Michelin star, and his more recent Contemporary Straits cuisine tasting menu concept, Pangium.
