This year’s Country Summer Music Festival should be an absolute blast for music fans.
The three-day festival, which runs June 16-18 at the Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, features one of its best-ever lineup of headliners.
Lynyrd Skynyrd tops the bill on Day 1, giving fans a chance to hear such Southern-fried classic rock staples as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “That Smell” and, of course, “Free Bird.”
Other acts that day include Matt Stell, Frankie Ballard, Tenille Townes and Josh Gracin.
Day 2 features headliner Eric Church, who released the debut album “Sinners Like Me” in 2006 and has since established himself among the country music genre’s all-time greats. He has released so many fantastic tunes over the years, but our short list would definitely include “Keep On,” “Guys Like Me,” “Talladega,” “Creepin’” and, perhaps finest of all, “Give Me Back My Hometown.”
Beyond Church, fans will get to witness the Cadillac Three, Caylee Hammack, Logan Mize, Kassi Ashton and more that same day.
Finally, Brothers Osborne — known for the platinum-plus-selling hits “Stay a Little Longer,” “21 Summer” and “It Ain’t My Fault” — takes top billing on Day 3. Other acts that day include Lee Brice, Tyler Farr and Ashland Craft.
Passes start at $99 (single day), $179 (two days) and $269 (three days), countrysummer.com. Gates open at noon daily.
