On house plants: I get fresh eucalyptus each week. Even if you can’t smell it, there’s something about it that looks very natural — and I love that. I [also] have eucalyptus oil in the shower, so if I take a steam, I’ll add a few drops into the water.
On smelling good: I always layer and make really unique scents by putting oils on and then a perfume. I’ve been wearing the same scent for three years now and that’s where the inspiration for my CeCe scent came from.
People comment on the way my combination of perfume smells all the time. When I did the reunion of Friends, I walked in and a couple of people gave me a hug. The first thing they said is ‘Oh, you smell nice.’ I know what I’m doing when it comes to that.
On childhood memories: Growing up in the South, my dad would make these hamburger sandwiches in the morning. And, I don’t even eat pork anymore, but I used to eat pork chops over rice pilaf with a slice of tomato and onion on top. I would come home and it would be in a big iron skillet. And I thought, ‘This smells so good.’ We would have fried chicken every Friday. I like all those smells. I love Southern food.
On her beach waves: When I was a kid, I use to have really long, straight hair. And then something happened. When I got older — I guess it was hormones or whatever happens — I got waves. So I have a layered haircut. I get out of the shower and I don’t brush it. Sometimes, I brush it in the shower to get the knots out, but then I scrunch it and let it air dry.
Then, I don’t do anything. And I don’t even know how to. If someone gave me a curling iron right now, I would look ridiculous. And I don’t blow dry my hair because that takes too much effort. If it’s frizzy, that’s when I put some LolaVie Perfecting Leave-In on the ends. It really does work. Not just because [Jennifer Aniston] is my friend.
On minimalism: My philosophy is less is more. The less makeup I wear, the better I look. Brows are important. They frame your face. I microblade mine. I don’t like doing it, and I hate the way it sounds, but I think the results are great.
