Courteney Cox tries TikTok’s viral ageing filter: ‘Oh f*ck’

Courteney Cox tried the viral TikTok “ageing” filter and was not thrilled with what she saw.

“Whoa,” she said in a new clip, responding to her face plus wrinkles and undereye bags. “How many more years is this?” After an off-screen voice tells her, “Two,” the Friends star yelps, “Two! Oh, fuck!” Cox encouraged followers to “Stay in the moment!” in her caption, though her comments were quickly filled with positive reassurances. “I LOVE YOU COURTENEY AND YOU LL BE GORGEOUS NO MATTER WHAT ????????,” wrote one fan. “Omg you still look gorgeous with the filter on,” added another.

Ageing is natural and normal and nothing to be ashamed or afraid of, but can we talk about the fact that these filters are built to be shocking, go viral, and prompt funny reactions? They’re not realistic! No one looks like that until they’re, like, 80! You should be so lucky to reach an age when your whole face droops, because it actually doesn’t happen overnight. So everyone chill and stop freaking out.

Seriously, are these filters sponsored by Big Injectibles? Because Courteney Cox has already revealed that fillers are not always the perfect solution they’re touted as. “There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years,” she said in an interview last year about her use of cosmetic injections. “And I didn’t realise that, ‘Oh shit, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now.’

“There’s no question that I am more grounded, I’ve learnt so much in my life—what to enjoy, what to try to do more of and what to let go of,” the actor added. So when she stays to stay present, you kids better listen up!
