So in April 2017, she got into a fight with Micki Davis over one of her then ex-beau’s paintings and proceeded to decapitate the senior. Davis had arrived Hilyard’s Kansas home to pick up some of her son’s things.
Hilyard was having none of it and grabbed a steak knife and began hacking at Davis’ neck to separate her head from her body, as the older woman’s grandson watched. Hilyard told court in 2020: “I just freaked out, and we were wrestling into the garage, and we got into a fight.”
The boy told detectives that the attack came without warning. Hilyard said she heard voices and testified: “The things told me that I didn’t have much time and I had to get her head away from her body, so her soul could get free, so it could get out and go to heaven.”

She tossed the head in the sink and cops arrived shortly after the macabre incident. Hilyard, now 40, was initially found mentally incompetent to stand trial before being convicted of first-degree murder in 2020 and sentenced to life without parole.
Hilyard recently appealed claiming she had not been fit to stand trial. The Kansas Supreme Court dismissed the claim.
COPS RELEASE VIDEO SHOWING WOMAN ESCAPING
Police in Oklahoma released an outrageous video showing a handcuffed woman escaping her shackles, grabbing an AR-15 and firing out of a cruiser, hitting a cop and a civilian.
Cops say the Grady County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wellness check at a home in Blanchard, Okla., just before noon on Aug. 12. They took a woman into custody, placed her in handcuffs and into the rear of a marked SUV.
But video later showed Rachel Zion Clay wiggling to get out.

And when she did, Clay allegedly grabbed the rifle, loaded it and began firing, according to the video. Her alleged victims were taken to hospital with injuries, but they aren’t considered life-threatening. Clay is being held on $1 million bond and is charged with “shooting with intent to kill.”
SERIAL KILLER DEAD
A California serial killer who confessed to murdering 13 women and men in the early 1970s has died in prison, the state’s department of correction said in a press release.
Herbert Mullin, 75, died of natural causes late last Thursday night, officials said. He had been housed at the California Health Care Facility and was serving two concurrent life terms for murder. Mullin murdered the 13 between Oct. 13, 1972, and Feb. 13, 1973, in the Santa Cruz area.
Ten were shot to death, while the others were beaten and stabbed.
A diagnosed schizophrenic, Mullin claims that his murders helped prevent earthquakes.
