It was the first competitive fixture for Al Nassr on Friday as the Saudi club played their match against Al Shabab in the group stage of the Arab Club Champions Cup. Ronaldo’s Al Nassr could only manage a goalless draw in the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute but couldn’t provide the winning touch to his team. And after the match, the player was visibly frustrated and unhappy with the result.
Ronaldo was storming off the pitch after the final whistle and was disgruntled with his team’s performance. A video recorded from the back of the dugout showed the Portugal international was talking with one of the support staff.
A cameraperson in the proximity was filming Ronaldo’s interaction with the staff and noticing that, Ronaldo told the cameraperson to move away.
He then threw some water at the cameraperson and gestured him to stop filming and move, which the latter did in the end. The video circulated on social media and the Portuguese has been lamented for throwing water at the person.

Al Nassr coach Luis Castro defended Ronaldo’s actions and stated the whole Al Nassr team were dissatisfied with the scheduling. They had just played PSG in a friendly in Japan on Thursday and it was definitely tough to play another game in such a short time.

“All eyes are always on Cristiano Ronaldo. They saw him dissatisfied, but if you looked at all the players, you would also see that everyone was dissatisfied. It’s almost impossible for us to play against PSG, then rest for two days, then Inter, then travel, then face Al-Shabab,” Castro said after the match.
Al Nassr will play two more matches in the Arab Champions Cup and will be hoping to reach the knockouts.
