MS Dhoni, the CSK captain is expected to retire after ongoing IPL 2023, and that has created further buzz for the franchise. The Twitter handle of CSK has 9.5 million followers.
Second on the list is Al Nassr – a Saudi Arabian football club based in Riyadh which features in the Saudi Pro League. The popularity of the club has skyrocketed ever since superstar Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo joined in December last year. Al Nassr FC had 5 million interactions in March.
IPL teams Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are occupying the third and fourth spots respectively. The star-studded RCB side featuring the likes of Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell reached 3.45 million interactions. They have 6.6 million followers on Twitter.
Mumbai, the most successful team in the IPL with five titles, registered a total interaction of 2.74 million in march. The Rohit Sharma-led team has always featured big names of the cricketing world. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Cameron Green, Jofra Archer and Tim David are part of the team.
Mumbai Indians have 8.1 million followers on Twitter. Completed the top five list of another Saudi Pro League SFC. They recorded 2.11 million interactions in March.
