On the night of the final, Gaikwad scored 26 off 16 and forged a crucial 74-run stand off 39 balls with his opening partner Devon Conway as CSK won a last-ball thriller by five wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pictures of Gaikwad and Utkarsha with the trophy had gone viral. The 26-year-old had also shared a picture of him sitting with Dhoni and Utkarsha. “2 VVIPs of my life,” he had captioned the image.

On Friday, June 2, a pictures from Gaikwad’s ‘Mehendi’ ceremony went viral on social media. “Did her parents put up a condition to win IPL final?” a fan has commented on the viral picture.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Marriage: Expected Guest List

Not much is known about Gaikwad’s guest list for his marriage ceremony. Cricketers and celebrities in the past have married in closed knit circles before throwing one gala reception inviting all their friends and colleagues.

However, It’s certain that the likes of head coach Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and Ajinkya Rahane will not attend Gaikwad’s marriage ceremony. All these players are in London and gearing up for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Will MS Dhoni attend Ruturaj Gaikwad’s marriage?

The CSK captain was in Mumbai for his knee surgery at the Kokilaben Hospital. However, as per reports, he has gone back to Ranchi after the successful surgery.

“He would be resting for a few days at home before his extensive rehabilitation starts. It is now expected that he would have enough time to get fit to play in the next IPL,” a CSK source has revealed.

Going by the information, the 41-year-old is unlikely to be at Gaikwad’s marriage function. He might turn up in the reception event in future.

However, other CSK teammates of Gaikwad – Deepak Chahar, Shivam Dube, Ambati Rayudu, and Tushar Deshpande could very well be on Gaikwad’s VIP guest list. His Maharashtra teammates Kedar Jadhav and Rahul Tripathi might also attend the ceremony.

Among India internationals Shreyas Iyer, who is recovering from a back injury, could be at the event if he is India. Yuzvendra Chahal is also free from cricketing duties at the moment and could feature in the guest list with his wife Dhanashree Verma.

Notably, Gaikwad was named in India’s stadby list for the WTC final but informed BCCI that he can travel only after June 5 because of his marriage. He was replaced by Yashasvi Jaiswal later. The WTC final starts from June 7 at The Oval in London.
