Big news for 2000s kids as two cartoon reboots will be in the works, with the big one being The Powerpuff Girls.
According to a report by Variety, creator Craig McCracken will soon be returning to his two original creations in The Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.
For readers who aren’t familiar with The Powerpuff Girls, the early 2000s animated show is based around three kids named Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercups, who possessed superpowers. The episodes mostly revolved around the adventures of the three girls in Townsville with their father and creator in Professor Utonium, as they face off superpowered villains and other enemies.
Fans are excited about the reboot, as it will involve the original creator in McCracken, who worked on the show with Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and later with Cartoon Network Studios.

Other than the animated reboot, the CW is also working on a live-action adaptation, which has underwent a ton of turmoil with cast changes, failed pilots and more.
Along with The Powerpuff Girls, McCracken will also try his hand again on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends as well. The original show ran during the late 2000s, and it is set in a world where humans live amongst imaginary friends. The show centered around a kid named Mac and his imaginary friend Bloo. It gained acclaim from fans and critics, and it went on to win seven Emmys during its 79-episode run.
